(eitherway you will need the flash debugger [ need it ]) Make sure you read which version you are downloading. You DO NOT want the current version of flash player, you DO want the current version of Flash Player Debugger.
If you are doing Flash Dev on a PC and not a Mac, you should be crying now because your mom hates you for being so stupid, because these tools ARE that awesome.
FlashBug displays flash information in the FireFox Plugin FireBug. Making it 30% more awesome.
FlashTrace displays flash data in your mac terminal, and is also awesome.
Below is a test swf that will trace out random words.

OK, ND3D just became awesomer. I’m now making my own 3D primitives for everything. This is because primitives are MUCH smaller in K weight, and therefore more versatile. Admittedly, I will eventually break it down to a “primitive.as” class of it’s own and just force feed it random shapes, but tonight I WIN, and that’s all I care about.
Here is an example of my “Dollar.as” class making a high and low ploy version of a “$”. Thanks to [ SupaMonke ] for the models.
The Flash plugin is required to view this object.
This animation is 24k. (suck it papervision)
The raw ASE file for the low poly is 64k…
the primitive file is 72k, but is absorbed in the swf when compiled!
This is my quick test for ND3D in AS3. The documentation is almost useless, and the examples are about as helpful as a knee in the crotch. But it is Super Small (10k)! This is my 48k animation using a 3D model I found online somewhere…
Just finished the TurboTax Social Hub. (Well ok, I finished a while ago, but it just launched…).
It is a portal into the crazy social aspect of TurboTax’s marketing. It might seem silly at first, but once you think about it, it’s actually kinda brilliant. Its (Taxes) something everyone needs to deal with, and we all fear it on some primal level, and Intuit is using our emotional bond with the event to turn it into a social thing. Kinda turning it on it’s ear. It’s no wonder this stuff becomes so popular.
You’re at your best when when the goin’ gets rough. You’ve been put to the test, but it’s never enough. When all hell’s breakin’ loose. You’ll be riding the eye of the storm. You know that when things get too tough. You got the touch – Stan Bush
I’ve recently had some time in my hands, and my wife Jennie convinced me to do a self portrait, for use in all of this social media crazed world we live in. I’ve been wanting to do some mixing of medias for a while, but have been putting it off, so in presence of a new [...] […]
