TurboTax:

Here I am using the red arrow to push a GPS – leading you to your MAX refund feel. The city helps reinforce the GPS theme, and makes the banner more “fun” overall. I like to slant text, I admit it. Banners are to web pages what stickers are to school lockers. They should look kinda like a 5th grader slapped them up there, because, let’s face it–if they blend in with the theme of the website you wouldn’t know they were there… and what’s the point? So, yeah, I slanted the text. I’ll do it again. Face.

King’s Hawaiian:
King’s Hawaiian has a lot of fun associated with the brand: family, hawaii, happy orange color scheme, and those fonts are just fun. I wanted to aim the age of the banner down and make it more “family fun”. There are a lot of CTAs here as well, so I separated them out a bit more. Save $1.00 to me needed to be on a sticker… it makes bargans more bargain-ier. Adding the dark blue helps pop that magnificent orange. Looking at it again, and I think I could lose that drop shadow, the colors are vibrent enough that the white can stand on it’s own.

Dole:

Have you seen our Dole TV spots? I love our Dole TV spots. Dole is about color and fun. They are the Nickelodeon of fruit. I wanted to keep the fun of the brand and explore color and texture.
