 I thought there was a ready-made expression for this? “Wobble”,”Wiggle”,”Jiggle”? Screw it, So… I kinda made my own.

Let’s say you have 400 commercials to knock out in a day, and the only differance between these commercials is that they use different names ex: Toyota of Springfield, Toyota of Orange, Asian Auto Exchange, etc… because the commercial campaign is regional and not national.

Before your decide that you are going to call in sick for the rest of the week, and let the intern pool learn AE real quick… try the magic of Dynamic Text Fields!

If you notice in the above, picture the Dynamic Text fields can have animations applied to them as well!

I love AfterEffects for a lot of stuff (although it is argumentatively a “toy” and not a “tool”), and when I found out it can use JavaScript (more or less), the romance boomed.

Firstly, yes, you can get this information online if you look hard enough for it; and no, I did not come up with this myself. However, getting the code to work and finding the right code (it changes for every version of CS for some reason). This is what I have working for CS4 & CS5:
